A long way gone: Memoirs of a Boy Solider

My fall semester in college my International Relations teacher suggested we purchase Ishmael Beah's book A Long Way Gone:Memories of A Boy Solider, first I was a little skeptical because I felt it might be to gory or too gruesome. I just started,and it seems like a great read.I'll update you guys soon!
